Terms of Use

These terms apply to the website and the online lessons of Mary Teacher (“the service”). By creating an account, or letting your child create one, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

• Students under 18 must be registered together with a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for the account, the payments and the child’s use of the service.
• Give accurate information and keep your password private. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
• One account per student. We may suspend an account that is misused.

• Regular lessons last 40 minutes and take place online with Zoom, with Google Meet as a backup. The first lesson is a free 15-minute trial, available once per student.
• Times on the website are shown in Turkey time (UTC+3).
• Please be on time. A lesson ends at its scheduled time even if you join late.
• Lesson links are private. Do not share them.
• Students must not record, photograph or share a lesson without the teacher’s permission. Please be respectful in every lesson.
• We encourage parents of young children to be nearby during lessons.

• Lessons are bought in packages. The price and the number of lessons are shown on the website. Each booked lesson uses one credit; the free trial uses none.
• Payment is by bank transfer. After paying, upload your receipt. Credits are added once the teacher has confirmed the payment. A receipt can be rejected, with a reason, if the payment cannot be verified.
• Credits belong to the student’s account. They cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
• Prices may change. A change applies only to future purchases.
• If you would like a refund for unused credits, contact us. We will handle it fairly and in line with the consumer law that applies to you.

• You can cancel a lesson from your dashboard up to 12 hours before it starts. The credit is returned automatically (for the free trial, the trial becomes available again).
• Less than 12 hours before the lesson, it can no longer be cancelled on the website, and the credit is used.
• If the student does not attend, the credit is used. The teacher may return it, for example after an emergency; please contact us.
• If the teacher cancels or cannot attend, the credit is returned and you can choose a new time.
• If a problem on our side prevents a lesson from taking place, the credit is returned. If the problem is on your side (for example your internet), contact us and we will look at it case by case.

Lesson materials are for the student’s own learning. Please do not copy, share or sell them. The teacher and the original authors keep their rights. Homework you submit stays yours; you allow the teacher to read it, correct it and give feedback.

Do not upload harmful or illegal content or malicious files, try to reach other people’s accounts or information, or disrupt the website. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

We work to keep the website available, but it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We teach with care, but we cannot promise particular exam scores or progress, which depend on many things, including regular practice.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses or for problems caused by services we do not control, such as Zoom, Google Meet, email providers or your internet connection. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory law, such as consumer protection, or any responsibility that cannot be excluded.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and email registered users about important changes. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept it. You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
